POPPELS BRYGGERI IS A CRAFT BREWERY located in the small Gothenburg suburb of Jonsered in the western parts of Sweden.
Poppels was founded in 2012 by 15 passionate beer enthusiasts with one common vision: to spread their love for high quality beer to all layers of the Swedish population. We want everyone to discover and share the wonders of the truly diverse beverage that is often reduced to ”just beer”. To this day, that ambition is the driving force behind everything we do.
Despite our own relatively short history, we take great pride in performing a craft that has been practised and refined for thousands of years. Even if modern technology, a wider supply of ingredients and deepened knowledge of the biological and chemical aspects of the brewing process offer superior conditions today, not much has changed. We are still driven by the same thing that motivated our ancestors and their ancestors before them. Nothing more and nothing less than brewing fantastic beer.
