RUTTE is founded in 1872 by Simon Rutte in Dordrecht. Simon was a expert in exotic spices and fruits. In the early years he distilled in the backyard behind the family’s café. His obsession for quality and his distilling skills quickly became well known in the neighbourhood and beyond. He and the generations that followed him created amazing recipes that we still use today. These old family recipes are all with 100% natural ingredients and with absence of added colors and flavors.
